My client is a growing engineering consultancy operating across the UK power and utilities sector. Due to continued project demand, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior or Principal Cable Design Engineer to support the delivery of complex, high-value infrastructure schemes. This is a technically focused role offering the opportunity to lead, check and approve cable design work while mentoring others and contributing to wider business performance. The Role You’ll be responsible for delivering technically robust cable designs, ensuring work is right-first-time and compliant with statutory and industry standards. You’ll work closely with Project Managers and engineering teams to deliver projects safely, on programme and within budget. Key responsibilities include: Producing, checking and approving cable designs using industry-standard softwareLeading technical input across projects, including design risk and constraint managementEnsuring compliance with CDM, statutory and industry standardsReviewing and critiquing design outputs, drawings and technical notesSupporting project delivery through effective planning, coordination and communicationMentoring and developing less
